Dr. Christopher Virreira Winter

Dr. Christopher Virreira Winter advises national and international companies on all issues of commercial and distribution law as well as intellectual property law and compliance.

He started his professional career as attorney in Frankfurt and represented internationally operating companies, in particular software companies, in and out of court in the areas of copyright, trademark and unfair competition law.

Dr. Virreira Winter also served as in-house counsel in the legal department of an international consumer goods manufacturer in the home and personal care sector. Within the scope of this activity, he mainly drafted and negotiated purchase, distribution and license agreements. Dr. Virreira Winter currently works in the legal department of the distribution company of a worldwide leading storage media manufacturer for the EMEA region. His areas of expertise were expanded to compliance with a focus on data protection law.

Another focus of his work as attorney and in-house counsel were corporate transactions.

Dr. Virreira Winter studied law at the Heinrich-Heine-University in Düsseldorf and received his PhD (Dr. iur.) for a doctoral thesis on copyright law. 2018 he has been awarded the title of specialist lawyer in the field of intellectual property law.
