Dr. Christian Steigüber

Dr. Christian Steigüber started his professional career in Düsseldorf (Germany) being a lawyer working for a large international law firm primarily focused on intellectual property and copyright law. In the course of time, drafting and reviewing of contracts as well as conducting of contract negotiations took up an ever-increasing part of his work.

After working for an international consumer goods manufacturer in the markets of home and personal care products, Dr. Steigüber took the role as Head of Legal Department. Thereby he and his team were responsible for the legal affairs of the group of companies. In a next step he has taken the same role adding the responsibility for the field of compliance for a sales company of a worldwide leading memory product manufacturer for EMEA region. Currently, Dr. Steigüber is responsible for a leading food producer’s Legal and Compliance Department.

As an external lawyer as well as within his role of an in-house counsel for a group of companies Dr. Steigüber provided legal advice on transactions. Thus, his professional experiences enable him to provide extensive commercial law advice, including M&A.

Dr. Steigüber has studied law at the Heinrich-Heine-University Düsseldorf and received his PhD (Dr. iur.) in 2010 for his doctoral thesis in the field of unfair competition law and patent law. During his legal clerkship at the District Court Düsseldorf he was working for one of the largest German diversified industrial corporation in Shanghai, China.
