Dr. Merle von Moock
Dr. Merle von Moock was admitted to the bar in mid-2003. She has many years of experience as in-house-legal-counsel in energy supply companies. She has also worked as a risk controller and chief compliance officer for a German public limited company. In the course of her work, she dealt with energy industry issues such as unbundling, contracting, portfolio management, wholesale energy contracts and power plant contracts. Financial market regulation and public procurement law were also part of her remit. As chief compliance officer, she was responsible for the proper establishment of a compliance management system. In addition, she was responsible for topics as anti-corruption, antitrust law, conflicts of interest market abuse, insider trading, money laundering and, most recently, the Supply Chain Duty of Care Act. She has worked in English and French in the context of financial market regulation as well as in the supervision of various geothermal projects. In order to settle disputes amicably, she has also trained as a systemic mediator.
